Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Nuero Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP is designed to efficiently and effectively help individuals overcome persistent, unhelpful patterns in their lives, often in as few as 1-3 sessions.  These patterns are not conscious; they stem from a subconscious response to certain known or unknown triggers. NLP addresses the subconscious mind with compassion, understanding that it is always responding to these triggers with good intentions although the outcome is not helpful.   On a conscious level we are left confused, stuck and wondering why we keep repeating the same unhelpful pattern. NLP is non-intrusive, meaning clients decide how much information to share during the process. By working with NLP you will disempower the unhelpful patterns.  You will experience access to new healthy ways of being, fostering positive changes for moving forward in your life: spiritually, personally and professionally. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) can address a wide range of issues: Dominating parts of our personality (people pleaser, perfectionist, anger, avoidance, dissociative, self-sabotager, and more) Activated wounded parts of our psyche from various ages of our life, often called wounded children or  trauma response Overcoming phobias and irrational fears Improving confidence and self-image Enhancing communication skills Managing stress and emotional responses Breaking negative habits and patterns Boosting motivation and goal setting

Neuro Linguistic Programming with
Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) / Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Internal Family System works directly with the subconscious mind.  IFS specifically wants to understand and build healthy relationships between your conscious Self and your subconscious Protective Parts.  Through exploration you begin to understand and resolve the Internal Conflict between what we want and what we actually do.  For example, there may be an Internal Conflict arising because you want to move forward in your life as your authentic self.   However, you keep playing it small and safe.  The Protective Part that keeps you playing small and safe has very good intentions.  This part may have become neurologically wired to play small at a very young age when it was wise to keep your authentic self-hidden.  As an adult this part’s wiring is outdated. We understand that the original good intention no longer creates a good outcome.  Integrating the best practices of IFS and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) allows for a client to resolve Internal Conflicts quicker than traditional therapies, typically lasting three months with flexible follow-ups.  The client learns to be their own healer through a deep and intimate understanding of how their internal world functions.  The client embodies compassionate and courageous Self-leadership.  The IFS and NLP Path can address a wide range of issues: Dominating parts of our personality (people pleaser, perfectionist, anger, avoidance, dissociative, self-sabotager, and more) Activated wounded parts of our psyche from various ages of our life, often called wounded children or trauma response Overcoming phobias and irrational fears Improving confidence and self-image Enhancing communication skills Managing stress and emotional responses Breaking negative habits and patterns Boosting motivation and goal setting

Meet Anne

Welcome to Water’s Edge Therapy Services, where therapy and coaching are focused and effective. I used to think therapy had to be difficult, but after learning about Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I realized people often suffer longer than necessary. The subconscious records perceived threats—sometimes minor—and forms response patterns for future encounters. Experts like Dr. Dan Siegel call these "False Alarms," while Dr. Richard Schwartz calls them "Protective Parts." NLP addresses how such patterns develop and persist, working with the subconscious to change neural pathways. My aim now is to help clients heal faster and move forward with spiritual growth, relationships, professional goals, authenticity, and greater calm.
